Welcome to the Office of Campus and Community Engagement, part of the Division of Student and Campus Life!

We are comprised of a broad range of departments that are dedicated to helping you make the most of your Cornell experience. Our role, simply put, is to help enrich your experience outside of the classroom.

Together with colleagues from across campus, we are devoted to building a community and creating co-curricular opportunities where the intrinsic value and worth of the individual is affirmed and community standards and values are upheld. These are the foundational goals of all of our programs.

This website highlights opportunities for engagement for all students at Cornell. It does not matter whether you are a new undergraduate or graduate student, transfer, returning or visiting student, or whether you choose to live on- or off-campus. Our programs aim to bring together all students.

In these pages, you will discover that opportunities abound. I encourage you to experiment with different types of involvement. Try something new and different. Involvement can help you stay healthy—emotionally, physically and mentally.

As you engage in the life of this campus community, resist the natural pull of the familiar and comfortable path and seek involvement that is meaningful for you and of consequence to the world beyond you. There is a spirit that animates life at Cornell. That spirit encourages meaningful engagement in a civil community in which all students can thrive.

I urge you to find your path…

“Afoot and lighthearted I take to the open road/ Healthy, free, the world before me/ The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose.”
—Walt Whitman’s Song of the Open Road
